Dynamic block with wipeout to parameter strech

Hi All,

I'm in the process of dragging the CAD files the company I work for out of the dark ages and to this I'm building up a whole collection of dynamic blocks.

Quite a few of these include wipeouts as they are a prefered way this place works when it comes to hiding background details.

I do have one issue, and for the life of me I can't see where I've gone wrong, refer to the attached dwg file.

There is a stretch function which gives a free choice for the length, then a table driven function which stretches the block to suit the sizes of the part.

The wipeout doesn't move with the stretch, is this something I've done, or I'm missing?

I have gone over past issues with this type of feature as there is plenty of info available on how to get around this, but the majority alludes to Sketchbook for AutoCad being the problem, which I don't have.

And for the record, I'm running a full ACAD 2021.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim.

I cannot replicate your issue (ACA 2018).  Wipeout stretches correctly.

Thanks for that.

I think I wasn't clear enough, the stretch works in the length of the part, drag and click works perfectly even.

The UB Depth Stretch is where I'm having the problem, it's parameter driven but is not changing when you choose the different section sizes.

Everything I've found previously tells me it should work, but I guess I'm missing something...

You have the UB Depth Stretch action associated with the base point of the UB Height linear parameter.  When you use a lookup or properties to change the value of the UB Height parameter, the base point does not move, the end point is what moves.  You have no actions associated with the end point of the UB Height parameter, so changing its value via lookup or properties does nothing to the linework (or wipeout).  Switch the two points of the UB Height parameter, and replace the UB Depth Stretch action and while replacing it, select the end point instead of the base point.
