Dynamic Block with variable array

Hi all! I've made a simply dynamic block for a timber stud.

Snipaste_2022-11-09_12-45-00.jpg

It has an array so it can repeat at 600mm centres, but can I make that variable somehow? I would like it to also array at 400mm if needs be, without having an entirely separate block. Is this feasible?

Also, it would be even better where the array is used, there's always an additional stud created right at the end like this.

Not sure if either are possible, but would be great to hear from anyone if it is. Thanks!

Test the attached attempt.

(For a better examination what I did the both variants have different colors. Of course you can and should give both arrays the same color)

That's amazing! Thank you, and it makes perfect sense 🙂

Just as an aside, and I'm not sure if it's possible. Would it be possible to have it, so there's always a trailing stud at the end of the array? Obviously, this wouldn't need to be visible if it's just the single stud.

Not sure if it's possible, and don't worry if not. Thanks again 😄

Here another example, you can use ONE grip to stretch the length overall for both variants (400 and 600), but without rotation.

Try the new [EDITed] attachment.

In the block editor you can change the color of the 4 rectangles and the 8 diagonal lines to any color of your choice (e.g. ByLayer).
