Post your block. It sounds like your hatch is not associative, but hatches in blocks can cause problems.

It's because your hatch wasn't associative. See the attached drawing.
Be careful with the block though. I have found through my own experience that sometimes even if the hatch is associative in the block, it somehow loses that associativity and then you get the problem of the hatch not stretching as it should.

mmm,i check before saving the block if the hatch is associative,and it was.now works properly,thank you so much,you save my ass. if you also knew why the base point does not rotate despite having included it in the polar stretch you would be great.thanks
edit:can you explain how you had force the associative parameter in this file?thanks
See the three images attached. Add the BASEPOINT parameter to your block and then add it to your polar stretch and the basepoint will move. The other two images show you how to have a hatch be associative
