Dynamic Block not able to edit

Posting in regards to an Issue i have came onto with dynamic blocks.

I was sent over a Dynamic Block of a Crane.

All the Grip Actions work fine the problem arises when i need to edit the block it appears i can't.

In properties it states its name as "*U13"

If i use Edit block in Place it does not list or find this block just the nested block families within?

Block editor Command does not find it in list but if searched it opens block editor but there is nothing - no geometry no Constraints/Grips but when closing it states it is block U*13 i am closing.

Is this issue something anyone has came across or has insight unto potential things to check for. Any help appreciated.

Think the issue could be potentially the original user has maybe copied and pasted the block into a new drawing rather than inserted.

Post the block so we can have a look at it

@liam.doherty3ETY2 sorry it looks like nothing can be done to sort it out.

I don't fully understand the details, but the blocks within have been minserted and not inserted. Minsert means you can make an array of the blocks, but you can't explode them. See the link and image below

Thanks Howard,

Autodesk have confirmed it is also a MINSERT like you have said.

They sent me over a LISP routine - Which converts the block using the "unanon" command and selecting the block and renaming.

This allows me to Edit the block in the Block Editor which is great. The only issue is it still loses its Dynamic properties.

Attached LISP routine below

Thanks Liam
