Display Area of Polyline in Dynamic Block Attribute with Stretch

Is this possible?  I mean, I've created the block below, but when I insert it  into a drawing & perform a refresh, the value changes to ####.  Same thing if Stretch is used.

Is there another way to display a figure for area?

I know how to get the length & width values, but not how I might combine into a formula that the attribute can access.

Thanks in advance.

Ha, after another hours searching, I found the answer: a block with a single attribute which references the polyline rectangle inside the dynamic block.

Attached is the fixed block, for anyone facing the same issue.

It's easy enough to fix your original block.  Object fields are inconsistent in Dynamic Blocks.   Instead, use a formula field that references two blockplaceholder fields for the distance values and multiplies them together.

Would you mind posting the block?

The hatch array could just be a sequence issue.  If you post it I will look at it for you.

What if the polyline is not a rectangular and its shape is uneven...?
