DIMENSION LINES AND TEXTS OVERLAPPING PROBLEM

Hi....

        I have created some dynamic blocks in which I have put some dimensions, so that if i change any block parameter, the dimensions associated with the blocks changes.

But while changing blocks parameters, some dimension lines and texts are overlapping which is looking odd. Is there any solution for this?

Please post an example block.  

To make the dim text moveable, you can turn the text off, make an attribute with the same text style and size as the dim text and insert a field into it that references the dimension distance.  You can then add any dynamic actions to the text to make it move however you want.

I AM ATTACHING SAMPLE BLOCK IN IN WHICH I VARIED "STEP" PARAMETER....

1)FOR STEP=0.5 DIMENSION TEXT IS NOT OVERLAPPING WITH DIMENSION LINES

2)FOR STEP=0.35 DIMENSION TEXT IS OVERLAPPING WITH DIMENSIONS LINES

I HAVE CREATED SO MANY BLOCKS LIKE THIS WITH SO MANY PARAMETERS.

EACH BLOCK HAVE DIMENSIONS WHICH ARE TO BE REPRESENTED ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER LIKE IN THE ATTACHED BLOCK.

I HAVE TO CHECK EACH AND EVERY BLOCK BY CHANGING EACH AND EVERY PARAMETER FOR DIFFERENT VALUES FOR CHECKING THIS PROBLEM.

IS THERE ANY PERMANENT SOLUTION FOR THIS...??

LIKE....IS THERE ANY FEATURE OR SYSTEM VARIABLE IN AUTOCAD OR IN BLOCK WHICH AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS DIMENSIONS WITHOUT OVERLAPPING??

If you go to your dimension style and go to the Fit tab and select 'Always keep between ext lines', it may be what you are looking for.  It may also not work for you because when a dimension is changed even smaller, the text will still be kept between the lines and will get covered by the arrows.  If that is also an issue then you can get the manual text placement by doing what I outlined in my last post.    

Be aware that changing the dim style will change the text placement of all dimensions of that style so use it with caution if the effect is not what you want in all cases.  If that is the desired effect for your issue, you might consider copying the dim style and making a version that is used in the specific blocks.  In that case you would need to go into each block and change the actual dimensions to the new style in properties.  Here is your file back with that setting changed.

I am aware of the basics of editing the dimension style, but still have a problem that sometimes I receive a file that already had dimensions on it and the dimension text overlaps with another dimension text, this could waste alot of time if I had to edit all overlapping dimensions text in a big project, is there an option that could fix this overlap issue? thanks in advance

-Open dimension style, Text Tab.

-Select Fill Color.

-Change to (None).
