Change text of a dimension that is inside a dynamic block

Hi,

I'm working on making a dynamic block that has a visible dimension with an additional text inside (I think is called text override). My goal is to be able to change the additional text of that dimension without entering the dynamic block. As shown in the picture below basically I want to change the text that says 1027 without entering the block editor.

Ideally, I want to be able to have this automated and have the texted updated to the next value of a list based on the dimension, but for what I have saw I think it's not possible at all.

I don't know if it feasible, I'm still leering to use the more advanced stuffs of AutoCAD.  On this topic I just want to thank you all for the time you take to answer to the questions of this forum, it's really helpful.

@GS_SSI Instead of putting (1027) inside the dimension text override, use a separate attribute positioned next to the dimension. This way you can double-click the block to edit the attribute value without entering the Block Editor.

Hi,

@GS_SSI

Since you start using Dynamic blocks, my suggestion is to keep going in it and use Visibility option (Search on the web for tutorial videos) and start put all of other needed texts (1027).

Keep going, You're on the right track.

I believe what you want to do is easily doable. Post your block along with the specific information necessary if you would like me to create an example.

@GS_SSI

This is probably not how @Libbya would do it, but here is a rough one that might do what you want. You need to do a regen for the fields to update

Turn the text into an attribute definition and you will be able to double click and type whatever it is
