Chain 3 rotate parameters using only one grip.

Hi All,

Im creating a block which contains 3 text attributes. the block text must rotate depending on the angle positioning of the block. Right now i get one of the text to rotate but i cannot link the 3 rotates to do the same by linking this other two rotate parameter to the main rotate one. Could anyone explain me how to chain reaction this 3 parameters?

in other words:

i would text1 and text2 to rotate from their own middle center points the same angle as when the rotate parameter from text3 is modified. Is this possible?

thanks in advance

J.

Hi!!

thank you so much for the video! took me a while to find out how to do it since first i need to set the BACTIONBARMODE to "0" once i modify that was a piece of cake. 🙂

I would like to take this further if possible. this is my new challenge: Now Im capable thanks to you to rotate just one time all the texts. I was wondering if there is a way to automate the rotation of the text when the block is rotated/aligned based on quadrants. the idea is to just put the block in the drawing and based on the rotation angle the text reads bottom to top or left to right. that will be the ultimate solution for my problem since that way other users of my block wont need o think about how the text should be read.. it will be automated from the block. the challenge im facing is hat the rotaiton of the text must be linked not to the rotation of the block itself but to the north of the block since the same block might be in front of the same block while the text reads in both bottom to top or left to right. If you dont mind i will attach another sample based in what i just mentioned... Please feel free of jus point me in the right direction if you think im taking this too far... and Thank You So Much Again! 🙂

Hi Libbya,

thanks again for your effor, in your example the text remains horizontal no matter the rotation however in my challenge i need the text to rotate either horizontal or vetical after the rotation of the cabin exceed a certain degree.

from 0 to 90 degrees Horizontal (reading left to right)

from 90 to 180 Vertical (reading bottom to top)

from 180 to 270 Horizontal (reading left to right) - note that in this case the text is reading the same but is 180 degrees rotated respect to the original

from 270 to 360 Vertical (reading bottom to top) - same as above.

I understand this is difficult for me to explain so might be more confussing for someone to help. Please excuse me for not explaining better.

thanks,

J.
