I would like to export some information about a drawing so that it is accessible by an external process. To boil it down to a simple concept, I have visual "room" boundaries in a drawing, and various block objects that are contained inside various "rooms". I would like for there to be some way to query that information externally, either through a SQL or Access database intermediary of some kind, or some other solution, so that I could list the blocks by their various attributes, and what location they are in.
I don't need a precise solution, but if someone is willing to point me in the right direction, I'd very much appreciate it.
