Attribute value not updating

I have a pretty simple dynamic block.  The block consists of a few stretch actions and contains one sole attribute ('OVERALL_DIM').  This attribute contains a field linked to the measurement value of a dimension within the same block.  I am able to manipulate the block with the stretch actions and the dimensions within the block update accordingly, but the attribute in question does not.

Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

You need to check the box for 'display value for block reference'.  See screencast:
