When I increase depth parameter I want the lines in red also to stretch only. When I increase the depth the red lines do not stretch. How to rectify this.

Please show us an example how the block should look after increasing the DEPTH.

I have attached two pictures wherein 1st depth is 1000 and in 2nd picture depth is increased to 2000. So in 2nd case when depth increases spacing between lines also increases and that is what I want in  attached dwg file . But in the dwg file red lines are not stretching. They instead remain fixed when I increase the depth and hence don't stretch.

Thanks for the images, but they differ from your file and - excuse my ignorance - I still don't understand what you want to achieve.

1. You use a PathArray. I can not see which object you use as path for the array. (If there is a path line, you only would need to stretch this line accordingly to the Depth parameter).

2. When, how and by whom will the number of lines (number of array items) be changed?

3. Do you want only ever an odd number of lines or also even numbers?

4. What about the both distances marked in the attached image?

I'm still confused ...

The pictures that I sent is what I am trying to achieve in dwg file(like when I change the depth the array stretches vertically by automatically adjusting spacing). However this I am not able to achieve in Dwg file. The first horizontal red line is the arrayed item with vertical red line as path. I want to increase/decrease no of items(lines)manually. Consider it as a beam wherein when I increase the depth the spacing between rebars is increasing. So, what I am trying to achieve is I want to increase the depth and simultaneously want the array to just stretch (not increase in number).

1)Path line is the red vertical line that extends from start to end point of array.

2)I don't want to increase the number as I can change that from properties panel by inserting no. of items.

3)It can be both.

4)The distances you marked are fixed to 30 centimeters.

I hope you understand now.

A suggestion how to get the variable array.

A small addition ("fine tuning").
