Trouble with As-Built Joints

I have 5 different components, all in place, in Fusion 360.

I applied as-built joints to all. The all 'wiggled' to show the joint was made.

But when I try 'move/copy' to the whole assembly, only the selected component moves - not the whole assembly. I am new to this, but understood that as as-built joints were effectively glue that held components together.

Any help would be appreciated

Kevin

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome!

You're right, joints are supposed to work like that. Can you check the Move box to make sure it's set to select components rather than bodies? Components are "smart" so they obey joints/constraints and captured positions, but bodies are "dumb" and can be moved even if there's a joint on the component they're part of.
