Hi @Anonymous,

Edit: Just noticed you originally posted here. When you tried those steps - what was the outcome? Did it work temporarily or not at all? Still please collect the log files if you can. Also, you followed up with an upload issue here. It looks like in the upload picture, you are successfully working online? Let's just work in this one thread for now - your diagnostic log files will also tell me what is happening with the upload.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening! Can you tell me a little bit about your network. Are you behind a proxy server? Have you had online mode working before? What happens when you try to toggle back into online mode? You said you deleted the .xml file - have you followed the steps in this guide here?

If so, can you please send me your diagnostic log files from Fusion? To do to this - go into the help menu within Fusion and select Diagnostic Log Files. This will collect them in a .zip file that you can email to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com. This should give us a better clue as to what is happening.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for sharing! Found some very interesting things from your log files. So it seems that your computer is connecting than disconnecting from the internet. I note from your log file right when you signed into Fusion:

20161021T170844 D Entered into Online mode result: 1

This indicates that you successfully went into online mode right when you started Fusion. It also appears that you were able to successfully open, then save a couple of files. Then, about a minute later (based on the time stamps), I notice this error:

ET https://notifications.prd.fusionapi.autodesk.com/v1/channel/a360prod%3Agroup%3A7534079 6 Could not resolve host: notifications.prd.fusionapi.autodesk.com

Then from that point on in the log file it seems that there are a lot of Could not resolve host, as well as CloudBrowser failed request - exception: WinHttpSendRequest: 12007: The server name or address could not be resolved.

This leads me to believe this is network related. Can you tell me a bit about the environment you are working in. Do you have multiple networks connected to your machine? For instance, one theory I have is that your computer is dropping the initial network, then trying to reconnect to another one. Also, is you computer going in and out of sleep mode or anything like that where it might disconnect from the network? Are there any security protocols in place that might be disconnecting/forbidding access to these server calls?

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Hmm, I'm very curious to see if the College Wifi is causing any disruptions. Do you ever notice your internet dropping at any points? I believe this issue is also causing your offline issue - although it is weird that Fusion does not fully recognize it is in offline mode. I'd like to take this offline and take a deeper peek. Can we set up some time to go over this and do a screen share session. Feel free to email or private message me with any times/ways to reach you.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Found out some interesting things after chatting with the team. It looks like this may be related to a DDoS attack that happened recently. This article here has more information, but it is possible that this attack has impacted your ISP. If possible, can you check with the IT department at your school and see if they note anything like that happening.

Thanks,

one thing i noticed that this problem occurs only when i am on unstable WiFi connection.

this offline online issue occurs when i am on my college WiFi or my smartphone's personal hotspot.

they are very unstable. they disconnect frequently.

but when i am on my home WiFi, which is quite stable connection, everything works great.

so can you increase network reliability then it will be very helpful, because i use mobile network frequently as WiFi is not everywhere.

also, still i could not understand why fusion is not showing offline logo when it is offline & server verification failed error.

it really annoying when we are doing our work.

may above info help you.

and thanks

lastly , i love your team dedication on improvement of fusion.great!
