@guido66

Load times are difficult to troubleshoot with all the hops between server to client, ISPs, routers, Wifi or home network, and the potential for latency in between at the many points. We have active system monitors on load times of pages to monitor loading and alerts to staff if they slow.

Do you have any specifics on the speed/load time of a specific page and comparisons?
What browser/version?

regards,
Shaan

I keep getting the below error usually if I try inserting an image or youtube video:

Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

Been like that all morning. Sometimes just text without any html triggers that error. Like this post, it's just text no html but I keep getting the error.

Same behaviour in Safari and Chrome.

EDIT finally this post went through

- Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2006
- Apple M1 Max rMBP A2485 // Latest MacOS // Latest Fusion
- Usually working off files uploaded to Fusion as: Step, STL, SLDPRT. If it matters ask me.

The problems that are bugging (pun intended) me today:

1) Posting to the forums (Civil 3D Forum and Ideas Board) is not working. The website will briefly display the correct webpage with the Civil 3D Forum selected as the Location, then it will jump to a different, generic page, but there's no way to select the correct forum location from this new page. Tested in Chrome 107.0.5304.122 and Firefox 107.0.1

2) Autodesk login information isn't saved despite clicking "Stay signed in" after closing browser. Tested in Chrome and Firefox.

The problem doesn't occur in the Chrome browser, only using Microsoft Edge, version 107.0.1418.56. Waiting times are awful (more than 30 seconds) a I very often get messages that the page is not responding.

No problems in Google Chrome.

This is exactly the same behaviour as about half a year ago. Back then it was also only Microsoft Edge which had the same problems. It has been fine for the months in between.

@guido_66 Edge is built on the Chrome browser Chromium. I would look to see what configuration differences are set in your browsers such as routing as you could have one configured or by group policy routed differently resulting in latency or DNS resolution, an installed extension, a browser bug, or perhaps a security policy or setting. There are several things a website or service has no control over and a challenge to troubleshoot what is happening between the end browser and the site.  Have you tried a clear machine & browser to eliminate something potentially causing this latency?

Is anyone else see only a great delay between browsers?

Shaan

@FrodoLoggins This issue sounds like the security of the built-in forum that prevents insecure code or HTML in a message body. Sometimes when you paste text, you may be unaware that the text has HTML code formatting especially when copying and pasting from web pages. We only allow certain HTML or file types in a post to prevent exploits.

Regards,
Shaan

Greetings Shaan - I've mentioned this a few times in the last decade, but can you understand that by looking at your post ( #367 ) - that we cannot tell what issue you are referring to, since there is no way to tell what post you are referring to.  Even if you replied to the actual post, there would be no link to it. Thanks.

AKN keeps logging out every know and than even after selecting the option- Stay Signed In.

Fed up of this. This has been going on way before Autodesk faced Sign In issue.

I had posted this here.. (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/the-community-room/akn-keeps-logging-out-despite-selecting-stay-signe...), but got no one's attention. So posting it here..!!

Before posting this reply, it got logged out 3-4 times in a row.

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

Can someone from Autodesk comment on what the hang up is on getting the logout bug addressed? If it's a matter of reproducibility, surely some logging can be added such that the problem can be further isolated. I see it at least every other day. Between everyone who's reported it, seems like it could be nailed down pretty quick.

I use Edge for everything except the Autodesk forums, for exactly the same reason as @guido_66 described.  I've been using Firefox to read the forums for about a year, now, and occasionally try it back in Edge to see if there's any improvement.  Not so far...

Just another Me Too post.

Noticed this for some time now.  This week it's logging me out on the same day I logged in earlier and had checked the box to stay logged in.

Refreshing forum cause high CPU load in Chrome this week.

Take about a minute to load.

PS: A Chrome update fixed the problem

I don't understand how the feedback is being collected and managed these days, but I don't seem to be able to create a new post on this forum to ask a question or report an issue... So I'm adding this here. Feel free to move it as needed.

Issue:

When trying to provide an answer to an Autodesk customer, I pasted in this snippet of code:

Curtis_Waguespack_0-1671035624503.png

When I posted the reply, the first line was changed to so that the 999.... string became xxx-xxxx...

Curtis_Waguespack_1-1671035697933.png

This appears to be a bug.

the 9999... number wasn't important to the solution, so I just changed it to 8's. But I wanted to report this bug, so that it could be addressed, and in the future not cause the confusion and waste of time that it did today.

thank you

It's not a bug @Curtis_Waguespack - it's programmed that way to keep people from posting Autodesk serial numbers. Paste in a screenshot of this part to circumvent.
