Where are the AutoCAD Sample files and folders located after the install of a new version of the software? With each new release Autodesk provides us with sample files for individual aspects of the software. These files are typically set to "read only" but you can copy/change/use these files for your testing and development of your team.
Autodesk Sample files are installed at C:/Program Files/Autodesk/AutoCAD 20xx/Sample.
You can also find additional Sample files located online through the knowledge network.
Lastly, you can start AutoCAD and from the Start Tab when selecting New you can select Samples as shown below.
The sample drawings are a great way to test out new workflows and creating training programs for you internal and external teams.
