we are solving really big problems with link labels, where there is no option to use text types in expressions (IF conditions). Very simple task results in very complicated problem. Hoping that it shouldnt be so difficult to add this feature.
Yes, expressions that return and manipulate text strings. E.G. return "LT" for an alignment label on a curve that turns left and "RT" for a right turn. Also, retreive text information such as object name (alignment name), various string manipulation functions: LEFT, RIGHT, CONCAT would be a bonus. But even some basic functionality could really cut down on the number of label styles.
Autodesk needs to implement this. Such a simple feature that could be so powerful. To take a result from another expression and determine what string gets passed back to the label style would be huge.
