SAC: parameter´s name. sort them in Civil 3D

I can sort the parameters in SAC by Name or Display Name, but I import this custom subassembly to Civil 3D, the parameter´s name appears disorded.

I hate this behaviour, because I use generally a prefix in the name to sort the parameters.

I have tried sorting the "Display name" and then import the SA, but unsucessful.

It´s stupid that we can not do this in SAC.

Using the API, in the Subassembly Class there are the properties ParamBool,ParamLong,ParamString and ParamDouble.

Each one has the read/write property "ParamOrder", so it seems we can order the parameter in the list using the API....

It would be interesting to be able to edit the sequence of the inpout/output parameters of the PKT in Subassembly Composer

The goal is to make the properties palette in Civil 3D more readable and functional

You can edit the order in .atc file in pkt which is kind of zip file. Maybe you know. May be not 🙂

I am new to SAC, and i am looking for the location of the atc file. i search for the atc and bunch of them showed up.

Is their an atc file for each pkt file?

@Anonymous you can find ATC file in every PKT produced by SAC (just open pkt with zip manager). Cheers

Я вот делаю сортировку параметров в файле с расширением Atc (92301f9de2134352835de3f77c0387bb.atc - пример) это не сложно сделать. SAC сортирует параметры.

Может, поэтому не хотят поддерживать эту идею и реализовывать её.

The best way to have everything in the right order, if you create the parameters in SAC where you want them to be. Editing text files can be a solution, but if you modify the subassembly, you have to do it again...
