Profile naming convention

Profile naming convention

This seems to be new in 2018 because it's not been an issue in the past.

Profiles under different parent alignments should be able to carry the same name.  We use profiles to drain our project. We use "Special Ditch L/R 000" for our templated naming convention.  It would be nice for the program to recognize that the profiles have different parent alignments.  Therefore recognizing it is not a copy of another profile on the same alignment.

The reason of that is that civil 3D shows some dialog box with ALL profiles (of the drawing) to choose one, so you can't have 2 or more profiles with the same name.

You can see that dialog box, i.e in the InquiryTools when you have to select a profile.

However you could use the template name including the parent alignment's name in when you create the profile.
