Changing the number of vertices in a polyline or parcel should not affect the location of existing line/curve/parcel labels already placed in the drawing.
CUSTOMER USE CASE:
- The engineer provides a proposed easement location to the land surveyor.
- The land surveyor creates a sketch with segment labels of the proposed easement. The sketch includes different types of labels such as tags, dragged state, one line labels, stacked text labels, etc.
- The engineer makes a change in the proposed easement and provides a new easement location to the land surveyor.
- The land surveyor compares the new and old easement locations and makes adjustments to the boundary including adding or removing vertices.
THE EXPECTED WORKFLOW:
- The land surveyor adds labels to any new line/curve segments or chooses a different label style or location for new line segments created by removing one or more vertices.
- Renumber line/curve segments if necessary.
THE CURRENT WORKFLOW:
- Beginning with the last labeled segment, the land surveyor grip edits all labels back to their original line\curve segment.
- The land surveyor then completes the expected workflow previously described.
ANOTHER CURRENT WORKFLOW:
- The land surveyor changes the line/curve label style on that don't match the original label style before the edit.
- The land surveyor adjusts any dragged state or non-centered segments back to the original location before the edit.
- The land surveyor adds labels to any unlabeled segment.
- The land surveyor renumbers all line/curve segments after the modified segment. (May not have been necessary if labels hadn't moved).
