Fix Pressure Network Bugs

Fix Pressure Network Bugs

Autodesk needs to fix the many bugs with pressure networks. #1 & #3 below use the same pressure pipe style, btw.

  1. Pressure pipe style for profile ignores Plot Style setting. Confirmed defect with Autodesk in Sept 2024.
  2. Pipe network structures that have pressure pipes attached ignore part masking in profile view. Confirmed defect with Autodesk in July 2025.
  3. Pressure pipe with a vertical curve always plots the pipe centerline no mater if the pipe CL layer is turned on/frozen/or No Plot. Confirmed defect with Autodesk in July 2025.
  4. If a pipe network has only structures (no pipes) and a pressure network pipe is attached to a structure, when these two networks are DREF'd into another drawing the connection between the pressure pipe and structure is lost. This causes the drawing to become corrupt and multiple copies of the alignment and pressure network are created. AUDIT will find dozens of errors due to this. Confirmed defect with Autodesk in July 2025.
  5. Appurtenance style in profile ignores plot style setting just like the bug with pressure pipes. Must use color as a workaround.
  6. Fittings in a layout viewport (plan view) will not display plot style correctly, but will plot correctly. In our case, we wanted fittings to plot blue, but the viewport display shows them black and sometimes even the plot preview shows black. But the plotted PDF will show it correctly in color. Confirmed defect with Autodesk Sept 2024.
  7. Pressure pipes inside C3D derive their inner diameter not from the ID in the catalog, but from a calculation of the outer diameter of the connection points minus the connection point wall thickness. This is a confirmed defect with Autodesk around 8 years ago that still hasn't been resolved.

These issues hinder plan production and Autodesk needs to address them before spending all their time on cloud related stuff that a minority of their customers use.

FYI, even when Autodesk claims to have fixed #1 above with C3D 2026.1, it didn't actually fix it.
