Feature Line (Add interpolation for elevation)

Feature Line (Add interpolation for elevation)

joantopo_0-1768904443820.png

There are a lot of cases where I create a FL from an object. Then I have to put elevation in each PI or Elevation point acording to ACAD labels as you can see in the picture (orange text)

However, some PI does not have orange text, so I have to calculate manually (interpolate between 2 known points). To avoid that (calculations in my mind), I would like that in the Elevation column of the FL Elevations datagrid, the user could type or select < Interpolate> in the Elevation cell, and the calculated elevation by the programm was shown next to that cell.

Please, add this feature for FL. It is very necessary!!!

Also, for some reason, (2026), when I create a pol3d or FL to grip to PI or Elevation point of an eisting FL it does not take its elevation. Sometimes it works another not.

Thanks in advance.

Even "Superelevations table" needs "Interpolate" value in a cell. To interpolate between the previous and next values.

Obviously, C3D should send error messages in case:

Due to an "Interpolate" elevation must be a file (item) between two (previous and next), if it does not accomplish this, then:

- We try to edit elevation an change it as "Interpolate" for the last or first point (vertex) in the FL. --- Error. (not interpolation available)

If we remove others PI so  the "Interpolate" point now is the first or last point.--Elevation changes to manual.

.......

If you have two points with known elevations (let's call them P1 and P3) and a point between without a known elevation (let's call this point P2), could you not select P1 through P3 using Shift+Left Click in the Elevation Editor panorama, then use the constant grade option to set the elevation of P2? This method works no matter how many intermediary points you have.
