To search for objects by object data, you need to close the drawing, open another, attach the drawing in mapwspace, then perform ADEQUERY.
it would be helpful if either Object data was available in Qselect, or ADEQUERY execute queries on the current drawing instead. this would make object data a much more useful feature especially in civil3d
