Data Shortcuts/References not included in eTransmit files
When creating an eTransmit file from Civil 3D, most of the time the data shortcut/references are dropped and have to be added in manually later. The data shortcuts/references should be detected from inside the drawing (without concern whether they appear in the data shortcuts in the Prospector or whether they are referenced by drive letter/URL) and included similar to how the external reference drawings are done.
****, rookie mistake on my part. Civil 3D 2020.4 Update. It's been an ongoing issue going back many versions across at least 2 companies that I've worked for.
Do you use drive letters or URLs for data on your servers? Autodesk says it won't support URLs.
At the previous company and when I started at my current company, we used drive letters and it wouldn't work. I did raise a tech support case with Autodesk (16826249) and the tech was unable to get it to work on his end either, even when we both did tests off our C: drives.
