When we replace a subassembly in Civil 3D appears a dialog box if we want retain the similar Surface Target for that subassembly.
I would like to get a similar dialog box when I create an "alignment from an object" in the case I select a polyline (or featureLine) which is being used as a Horizontal target for some subassembly.
This dialog box should appear if we tick the checkbox "remove object" in the form of the "create alignment from object".
Sometimes I use a polyline as a horizontal target, for example for a retaining wall, but then I need an aligment to draw the profile of that alignment, so I don´t need more the polyline and I replace it by the alignment.
