Cogo Point auto overlap correction

Cogo Point auto overlap correction

I am having to manually manipulate a lot of points so that COGO Point labels aren't overlapping.

If it were possible to automatically Rotate, offset and provide a leader to labels so that there is no overlap. This appears to be done with the labels in ArcGIS which is a really useful feature.

I have attached an example of the overlapping points.

This feature would be especially useful when importing COGO Points from Large Databases such as Holebase.

Thank you

Greg

You can this if you use the Autocad Map Features instead of cogo points.. However would be nice if it was native in civil 3d cogos..

Using the Autocad Map features for point labeling is not an option because:

- you have no control where labels are placed

- you have no control whether a label is visible if the point density is high

In addition to Greg's idea the feature should allow:

- to keep user placed labels optionally untouched

- should work on point groups basis
