Add automatically Triangulation lines between 2 regions

Add automatically Triangulation lines between 2 regions

Sometimes I have this scenario.

I have a corridor with several BaseLines and each one with their Regions.

I have also the corridor surface (Top code), which is displaying in the triangles style.

Sometimes, between 2 regions, which aren´t touching (perhaps for few milimeters), there aren´t triangles between them.

I have to go to the Corridor Surface,(Editions) and in the Surface operation: Add Lines, I have to add triangulation lines between 2 regions.

So, I would like some option, such as "tolerance between regions" (maximum length of the line) to add automatically lines in the corridor surface, if 2 regions aren´t touching correctly.

I would like to add triangulation lines (about surface operation-add line), and filter them by folders, according to the location where they are located. For example, Imagine I have a corridor with several regions, and I add lines in some regions. I would like classify the location of the triangulation lines added by folders.

Currently, in the description of the "triangulation line" there is its coordinates of each vertex, and I can do zoom to the line (in the contextual menu). But I would like filter them by categories (locations in the drawing), in the ToolSpace-Prospector.

I can´t change the description of some Triangulation line added.

I would like to put my own description for each triangulation line.

Or perhaps 2 columns descriptions (the coordinates that offers Civil 3D) and my own description.

Thank you for sharing your scenario and suggestion. Your idea of having a "tolerance between regions" option to automatically add lines in the corridor surface is indeed valuable. .It would streamline the process and enhance the user experience significantly.

Additionally, organizing the triangulation lines by folders or categories based on their locations within the drawing is a practical and efficient way to manage them. Being able to filter and classify these lines in ToolSpace-Prospector
