Accuracy (decimal places) of the value of the label

Accuracy (decimal places) of the value of the label

Hi.

In any label of a civil 3D object we can define the accuracy (decimal places).

For example, the following picture is showing 2 decimal places for Station of the Sample Line label.

However, it would be interesting that Civil 3D had a parameter to generate exceptions for the Precision.

If the value is an INTEGER, such as 0+200.00 i don´t need to show ".00" so you could add a paremeter (Yes/No) for "Show accuracy if value is an integer"..

This way if this parameter is "No" then it shows only "0+200" not "0+200.00"

Thanks in advance.

And another exception for example in the case of Station labels of alignment that we want to show "0" decimal places but if the label is the start  or end station alignment then it could show 2 decimal places instead.

Dimension object in AutoCAD has the property: hide zeros in the right side.

Good idea. It would need to be optional.

This is a precision vs. accuracy issue.

To me, 0+200.00 is 0+200.00±0.005 or somewhere between 0+199.995 and 1+200.005.

To me, 0+200. is 0+200.±0.5 or somewhere between 0+199.5 and 1+200.5.

P.S. I am pretty sure that this could be done with multiple components and expressions controlling visibility via text height.
