Xref not attaching properly showing circles and rectangles

hi,

If i attach xref file in civil 3d it is showing unwanted circles & rectangles & original drawing is not visible

plz see images

image 1 is civil 3d file 

image 2 is autocad file

i am using 2023 licensed version

requesting to suggest

we need to attach the autocad file in civil 3d file by using xref

even scale is the issue

Did you check whether layers are turned off or frozen?

Actually there were 2 drawings in the same file the drawing was in minimum scale
