Is anyone else having problems with some commands after the Windows 10 Fall update ?
I can no longer access the River Analysis Suite - I cannot offset a featureline - I am not sure what else is broken but this is an issue on two separate machines - both of which worked before the update.
Any ideas?
this issue is most likely caused by an incomaptible .NET Framwork version.
It is documented in the following knowledge base article:
Suggestions of how to fix it are also listed in the article.

I've tried the 4.7.1 update 6 times ..6 different PC's ..all failed ....
The link doesn't help as there is no way to roll back the .Net in windows 10. The .NET is at 4.7.1 and there are no roll backs or further updates - Civil 3d doesn't work with it.
I have the Windows 10 Creators Fall update and as far as I can tell I cant change this - even if I could I don't want to as it brings significant benefits to my one drive set up which I need for other software.
there is quite some confusion regarding to the .Net 4.7 and there are cases/computers where for some reason you experience problems and for some reasons not.
For example, in the following post, the solution was to disable Windows Defender during the isntallation:
That means, there is no real one solution for that problem and there is quite some work going on in the development teams to find what the issues are under which circumstances, in order to solve it on the AutoCAD side.
Especially, for the River&Flood Analysis extension for Civil 3D there is an open ticket to investigate and fix the issue.
The corresponding knowledge base article for that is:
