I a photo of what I am talking about. I found out the issue is my structure not my pipes. Whenever I right click and apply styles on pipes connected to other structures, it works perfectly. There is some setting I don't know about or maybe it is the way my block is set up, but something about this particular structure is causing the pipes to visually disconnect from the structure. The pipes are still connected hydraulically because if you right click and try to reconnect pipe to structure, it tells you that there already connected. This issue is 100% the structure, I just don't know how to fix this. The pipes should be connected to the inner walls of the structure, as this is what I set up in the pipe properties. I attached my design file so you can see

Question to Clarify-  When you say right click to apply styles there isn't a direct right click for that.  Are you talking about applying rules?

Its also interesting when you look at this in object viewer, the two don't look anything alike.

Oops I meant apply rules. Also I’m not sure how to delete a comment on here so that is why one of my comments just has a period.

Wow that is so weird that in object view the pipe connects to different side of catch basin than plan view. I’ve never seen that before.

You are using a block to represent the structure and it is not rotated correctly. In the image below I changed your structure style to show the outer part boundary instead of a block. On the left is your block rotated the same 0 degrees. If you want to use the block instead of the outer part boundary you need to recreate it at the correct rotation.

So I want the pipes to come out the long side of the catch basin (11 feet wide), not the short side (3.666 feet wide). You’re saying I need to rotate my block 90 degrees I think? What do I need to rotate my block to be?

Yes explode a copy of the block and rotate 90 degrees and recreate it or use bedit and rotate it around the insertion point .

Drawing attached with the block recreated to match rotation of the structure.

Slight problem. I rotated block like you said and I noticed something. When I rotated block and put insertion point at middle of block, all pipes automatically snap to the middle of the structure. I attached a photo of this, but I want 2 pipes connected to the structure, so the pipes wont be in the middle of the structure. Is there a way to get the pipes to show up like what I have on the photo, and still be able to right click on a pipe and select apply rules and it applies the rules properly.

This is error I get when I moved pipe to another insertion point on the structure, and tried to apply rules.
