What Controls Sump Elevation?

I have been spent the day creating a pipe network and have come to find out the Sump Elevation for my manholes are 500ish feet lower than my rim elevation. How could this have happened and is there any way to fix this?

My "Control Sump by:" is set to depth, and I'm using the "basic" rule set.

Relative to the lowest pipe invert.

Lowest invert per network or per structure? @fcernst

The invert of the lowest pipe connected to the structure along with the structure rule for sump depth. (if such rule is being applied to the structure)

@MMcCall402 I have an Invert in of 598.81, Invert out of 598.61, how could my sump elevation be 114.28?

My Set sump depth rule is set to 0.00

Did you apply the rule?   (select the structure and choose Apply Rules from the right click menu)

@MMcCall402 that fixed it. I don't understand why it was that in the first place though. When creating structures do you need to apply rule each time after setting invert elevations?
