Hi

I have a problem with calculation of volumes. I tried volume dashboard and alignments-section method but always i got the same "wrong" cut and fill value.

And i looked the new surface whom created by volume dashboard. I saw this

2 surface with one created refence to other2 surface with one created refence to otherThe surface which volume dashboard createThe surface which volume dashboard createDistance between 2 surfacesDistance between 2 surfaces

This behaviour is as designed because the volume dashboard creates a TIN volume surface which represents the level difference between the surfaces.  The Z values will be scattered above and below the 0 datum

What solution do you expect .... there's nothing wrong with this as I have already stated.

The red surface is fully below the other surface so the Z values in the volume surface will all be negative -as expected

You'd be better posting the dwg so someone can look at it

In your post, you state the volumes in cubic meters but the drawing itself is in feet. The 400 m3 to 18000 m3 discrepancy is very close to the conversion factor between cubic meters to cubic feet.

You need to change the settings in your template. When you start a new drawing, it basically copies the template and names it Drawing1.dwg. If your units are set correctly in your template, they will be set correctly in the new drawing.
