Viewport Bug 2023 & 2024

I regularly use viewports to show monuments that may have 100's of between them. I skipped over 2023 but installed for testing and get the same results. In the image below is 2 viewports. The upper view is the original viewport that I created; the bottom is a copy of the original viewport to just show the area I want to appear. When I regen the copied viewport the Crowsfeet disappear. Nothing is frozen, no layers have been changed. I've tested this in a new drawings from the original dwt and the NCS dwt, and in both instances, I get the same result. The copied viewport loses the crowsfeet.

This happens in both 2023 & 2024 but when I open the same file in 2022 the crowsfeet appear. I considered possible is this something to do with TOGGLELABELVISIBILITY, but I have turned that off.

Has anyone else seen this? Could I be missing something? I've attached a file for reference.

For now, it's back to 22 unless someone else has a solution. I'm at my wit's end on this one.

Have you tried changing AECCVIEWPORTOPT to OFF?  I've had that effect my viewports when it's on.

You have to zoom out so that the label is visible, then the crows foot displays. Optionally, drag the label down to where the crows foot is supposed to be and then the crows foot appears. Another unacceptable option, make the vp larger until the label will display.

That actually worked where is the documentation for the variable. Nothing comes up in the help.

@user181

That's got to be the weirdest thing I've ever seen. The variable has absolutely nothing to do with plan viewports according to the help.

I guess this will get added to ACAD.lsp to reduce future hair loss.

Thanks

EDIT: This system variable was introduced in 2023 and I would consider this to be a bug since the viewport is not a section view or defined as section view. No amount of regen will make the crowsfeet for the label appear, and I'm beginning to question what else it could be affecting. This is happening on versions C3D2023-2025 perhaps @lim.wendy look into this or pass it along.
