User Defined Properties - Importing Enumeration Values?

Greetings all,

I am reworking our CAD template to incorporate drop down menus for Cogo Points so it matches an Asset Table excel spreadsheet for our projects. The only problem is there is a considerable amount of options I need to create as an enumeration value in Civil3D.

What am I trying to achieve?

  • The goal is to have our drafters assign the user defined property in CAD and export the completed point table listing all the values into the client's asset table; as they want them both filled out in CIVIL3D and in their excel framework. I was hoping to use the enumeration property field type in the User-Defined property classification settings; to keep drafters from having to type everything verbatim. (Things like the directions to open valves, Fitting types, The Manufacturer of pipes, etc.)

The Bottom line:

  • Is there a way to import enumeration values? Or do I just need to hand-enter all the required values I want to list? See the drop down menus I'm trying to match in the attached. (Particularly the lists in the "SUBTYPE" and "DOMAINS" worksheets)

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can import UDPs in standard C3d without 3rd party routines/programs, you should post this on the Civil 3D Customization Forum - Autodesk Community for possible help.
