Hi! I am working on a railway project in Civil 3d and I am required to provide retaining wall on certain sections. The problem is that the section of these retaining walls changes with their height (refer to the screenshot) and I only know to create a retaining wall with a uniform section. Can anyone share their experience of resolving this kind of issue!!! Thank you!!!
Hi @anis.123, I thought of three options to solve this:
3. Apply the ConditionalCutOrFill subassembly and set the parameters depending on the height. I can see from your post that each type of wall is applied depending on the embankment height, so you can set these ranges with 7 Fill conditionals to cover the range of each type of wall. Then C3D will decide when a specific condition is true and apply the right wall.
For types A and B, it would look kind of similar to this.
2. Programming a new subassembly in Subassembly Composer that determines which type must be applied depending on the given parameters.
3. Since the retaining wall geometry changes depending on the height. You can look at this condition on the edge of your corridor and create a prior distribution for each type of wall. Then, you create separate assemblies and apply them according to the need.
