I am trying to have a transition in my corridor from 2% to 0% in one area and only on one side of the road. I thought that by leaving a space between regions, the corridor would automatically make adjustment? I am realizing now that since i have an assembly associated to that region (but for left side only) that it will not automatically build it in.
How would I go about doing this in the areas outlined in blue? this isnt for a major road or anything, but for a simple (well atleast i thought it would be :)) driveway.
Hi @sonny_morales, I hope you're doing fine. You should try using superelevation, it's not difficult, and you could manage the changes on the cross-slope values along the alignment. With superelevation, you could assign the proper cross-slope values along the alignment and per side (LeftOutsideLane and RightOutsideLane) to control this behavior in front of the driveway.
Best regards!
@Jeew-m are you saying I can do it with offset profiles? I literally just need the right side of this region to be 0% cross slope from crown, but need it to transition to/from 2% cross slope from the region before and to the one after.
I'm not fully understanding superelvation and how I can use it here. The EOP feature line that comes from this region will then be used to manually create the additional surface for the little section to north, that I then will combine with main corridor surface for one main drive surface. Which i had all done but then the change of 0% cross slop came into play and now i am at square one again 🙂
