ok I have been playing with the 3d modeling work space and some of the solids that can be used. I have been placing these items into a tin surface that is using a visual style.
In the process I have lost the ability to hove over the surface to obtain an approximate elevation of the ground
surface. I am trying to do this through the civil 3d workspace. I also have also switched the visual style to 2d wireframe.
I am guessing that I have somehow turned something off.
