SCR file write issues

I am trying to write a script file but due to our IT system it is blocked as .scr files are common ransomware files. Therefore I can't create/edit script files.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there anyway to write a script file directly in civil 3d so it doesn't need to save like a macro in excel?

Or can you open another file extension as a script file?

Save your script file to a flash drive and run it from there.
