Tif to ecw or any kind of converting from one format to another

Is C3D able to convert between formats TIF and ECW? My TIFs are huge and I need to optimize them.

No, Civil 3D can't directly convert TIF to ECW. You'll need dedicated image processing or GIS software like Global Mapper, ERDAS IMAGINE, or QGIS to perform this conversion for optimizing your large TIF files. Converting to ECW will significantly reduce file size and improve performance in Civil 3D.

We usually ask Bentley peolpe to do the converting. This feature should be included in C3D.
