Text sizes available in Text Ribbon drop-down list

I've been using Civil 3D and AutoCAD daily for 6 years now, and haven't ever figured this out.  When I create an MText box, the default text size is whatever size is selected in the drop-down list in the Text Ribbon in the Annotate Tab.  Makes sense.  But how do I create more size options, so that I don't have to select the Mtext box afterwards and change the text height in the properties box?  Thanks for answering probably a very simple question!

Use the STYLE command.  You can change your current style.

I think this is what you want.

Thanks Joseph.  My question would be how to create the multiple sizes?  Thanks

Bill - I'd like to use the standard style, which I have Calibri font.  Is it possible to have more than one text height available for using in each style?  By having a drop-down list, that is what I would assume.  How do I create more text height options?  Thanks again!

I don't know if you know, but once you initiate the MTEXT command, and draw the text box, when the Text Formatting toolbar appears you can just click the cursor in the text height box and type a new text height directly, then tab or click in the text window to set that height.

Or, maybe the real question is what does Annotative Text do for you?  If you use annotative text, assuming you're typing your text in modelspace and it will appear in a paperspace viewport, create an annotative text style for each text height you commonly use, then as others said, set your style using the STYLE command, and type your text, and it will size itself automatically to the viewport's annotative scale.

Before you start the text command type TEXTSIZE at the command line and enter the size you want. It will then appear in the list. You can repeat this for all sizes you want and they will appear in the list when you start text command.

I see. With annotative text that paradigm can go away.

set the text style to annotative and the paper save height and youll never have to decide how high.

leroy100 will adjust according to scale setting

Thanks Jeffrey:  I don't use annotative text so much.  Usually the only text in model space will be contour labels.  All other text is in paper space.  I believe that the TEXTSIZE command is the right solution for me.  It's just odd that there doesn't seem to be a tool for that other than knowing to type in "textsize".  Thanks for your help!
