Pretty similar issues to what was described in this post: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/survey-database-extremely-slow/td-p/2637475

However we are just randomly running into this issue within the last 6 months or so. We have 1gb LAN speeds where we are running into issues with this. Using a small test file on a network drive that has only 100 points it can take like 5 minutes or longer and completely lock up civil3d... When it is on the local computer importing is much faster (nearly instant as it should be). All of our users are on windows 10 and I have heard from this issue from nearly every user that using survey databases. Has anyone else run into this issue or have any advice?

I have been on this hunt for awhile. There is a solution here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/civil-3d-2020-survey-database-edit-use-survey-figures-....  As @rl_jackson said "It's a little under the radar. Fixing it's generally easy. Figuring out how is sometimes quite complicated". I looked into this and had to get with IT. We have not had the opportunity to be in the same office to work on it.

This did not seem to be the fix. I tried reinstalling .net with no success. We have a domain controller with a NAS setup still not sure what is going on. The only issue seems to be with Autocad loading these files...

This fixed my issues. I searched through Add/Remove programs and found my sql.... microsoft sql server compact 4.0 sp1 x64 enu. I downloaded it and re-installed/repaired it. And now the fieldwork processing in a flash!

You did this on every client machine with Civil3D installed? Or does this need to be installed just on the file server?

Thanks!

It needs to be installed on every station not the server.
