Surface won't display any longer.

I have a drawing with an exsting ground surface and a finished ground surface. The finished ground surface will display, but the existing no longer does. I've checked layers, style and visiblity of styles and multiple styles.

the definition information all appears to be there, but no contours or triangles will display. Originally I could see them, but not anymore.

any ideas of what may cause this?

I've rebooted both my computer and the drawing, and also triec to rebuild the surface(in a temporary drawing file.

I searched the forums before posting and found no solutions.

thank you in advance

Do you have a broken data reference, screen shots of prospector would help.

Nothing broken that I know of. It's very odd. I can query information from it. I can label spot elevations and slopes from the surface.
I just can't see it.

Did you check the style maybe everything is off, or the layer is frozen.

I have checked all those as well. Double check the style displays as well as all layers.

It would likely help to post the dwg file. Also, when you attach images be sure to use the "Insert photos" button (looks like a camera) in the reply toolbar, as the one you tried to attach previously does not display.

That's odd I uploaded it.
I will try again from my office. I am telecommuting today with a new connection, perhaps it didn't work.

Your surface is on layer SV-CTRL-EXST-TXT and that layer is turned off.  Turn it on to see it. Maybe you accidentally put it on that layer.

Thank you. I’m embarrassed 😊 I was certain I had turned on all the layers just in case something like that had happened.
Very much appreciated.
