subassembly composer - Use Input Parameter in Decision?

Can I use an Input Parameter in a Decision? I want the SA to do something different if the Input Parameter for Grade is greater than a certain percent.

Hi @jmartt

You can do decision into SAC (Subassembly Composer)

I suggest you give a look into the sample PKT that are available on Autodesk site :
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Sample-PKT-files-f...

You can use decisions as you go while doing your workflow chart with Decisions and you can even write VBscript code and add some if() inside a parameter too for decision making

Thanks for the reply. I was able to take a look at some of the pkt files. They don't seem to have help files. Do you know if they're part of a tutorial somewhere?

But I didn't see anything about using an Input Parameter in a Decision. If this is possible, I think it would be quite powerful when used in tandem with the Corridor Transition wizard.

Oh! I got it to work by using Define Variable and naming the variable the same name as the Input Parameter.

Yes 🙂
You can do it with Define Variable too
You can do it without Define Variable too

And i forgot to put this information but you can give a read on the functions you can use while coding your decisions :

Take the time to give it a look and understand what's available afterwards you'll know a bit more what's possible in SAC
