Hello,
I am working on the layout and profiling of some water lines and have noticed that the standard hydrant available with Civil 3D does not seem to display correctly in profile view. A plan and profile snippet of one of the alignments is shown below. The finished grade can be seen as the cyan line on the profile and is 522.81' directly above the hydrant. The invert of the water line is 518.92' at the hydrant (3.89' deep). The hydrant selected in this case is the standard 60" bury depth hydrant available in the standard parts lists. When this part is drawn into the profile view it displays as being below grade. However, when I select the parts and surface and view in the object viewer, the hydrant displays above finished grade (the 60" depth displays correctly). Does everyone else encounter issue/how difficult would it be for me to have a hydrant that simply displays at finished grade?
Thanks!
