Section View Quantity Takeoff Table vs. Material Table

Nooby question today.

If you dive into the drawing settings -> object layers tab, you can see all of the objects that C3D can make. While going through these, I found two things that I thought were the same object.

1. the Material Table (related to material sections), and

2. the Section View QTO Table

Would someone please explain to me the difference in these two objects? I'm sure it's obvious to a more experienced user.

Hi Camden,

Thanks for reaching out to the forum. I can understand the potential confusion between these two tables. I suggest reviewing this thread that explains the Section View Quantity Takeoff Table, along with this article that discusses the Material Tables.

I hope that helps.

Thanks again @lim.wendy ! You're great. I knew this had to be pretty simple, but I had never seen the Material Tables before so I was needing some guidance from an expert. Thanks for the great help!
