Road elevations

Hi there I'm a beginner to Civil 3D. For work I am having to try and model in a road using a corridor but for some reason it always goes down to 0 datum when I try modelling it in with the assembly. I've created a profile, profile view the alignment and the actual corridor. I've also created the surface and surface profile but I don't know how to adjust the elevation of the corridor. Can anyone help me?

The corridor elevations are normally based on the design profile, but can be based on a surface profile. If you post your drawing, we can give you a more-complete answer.
