Report Profile Extraction "No FG Profile "problem. "Please select a profile "

Hello Everyone,

as you can see in the photos indicated I cannot extract the  Report incremental elevations . "It says please Select  a profile" or when I try executing another report it says "No FG Profile"

I Have started by drawing a polyline , then changing this polyline into an alignment. After that I specify a profile from a text document in which a specify the elevations

and I assign an assembly to create the corridor

Does anyone here knows what is the problem?

The report only works with Layout (Finish grade) profiles.

The Finish Grade (FG) is the design profile. For whatever reason the C3D report coders decided we only need to get a report for that specific profile type. So unless you create the profile in C3D using the layout tools you are out of luck with the reports.

To use your profile from File, after you create the profile and can view it in a ProfileView, explode it twice then use the Profile Layout tools to convert the lines to the profile. If there were Vertical curves, you will need to add those manually using the vertical curve tools in the layout tools. Now you will have a FG profile that the report will use.

Hi Mohamed

I do not quite remember as I stopped working with civil3D a long time ago however this was my accepted solution based on Jeff's comments here it is again:
