Projected objects in profile View

When I export C3D file with EXPORTTOAUTOCAD or Output, the projected Objects in profile view disappear.

How do I fix it?

Try to use the Command EXPORTC3DDRAWING instead.

Well...I get same result if I run "Output=ExportC3DToDrawing"  or ExportToAutoCAD2013!

Please see the pic!

Ok, I was able to reproduce this issue with Civil 2019.2 as well. I projected some 3D solids into a profile View and in a Section View.

In the Section View, the projected Object remains, in the Profile View they disappear when using EXPORTC3DDRAWING.

Quick workaround: Explode the projected Objects first in the Profile view, then do the export.

But this issue should be sent to the Autodesk Support to get a fix for future releases.

This is a disappointment for me working with C3D and promoting using this software at my workplace contrary using Bentley products!

In another post I mentioned difficulties with converting everything to solids in order to project them into a profile or section view.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Just want to attach this <Thread Link> to your post. See message 4 and message 8 for workaround and it might help. This is a bug and been reported long time ago.

Cheers,

Jowenn

Hi all,

I am experiencing the same problem in Civils 3D 2023. It seems as though the problem still has not been adressed (over 5 years after the last post on this thread).

Yup!

You go trough the trouble of projection styles, custom blocks and so on, only to lose everything  when exporting.

Additionaly, how do you manege to make an object un-snappable? I projecter some cogo points to a profile view, made their style represent with a block (a concrete pile), i see it well, but it won't snap to anything but "node". Funny. Only not.

It's like it never crossed their mind someone might use it to cut down od some labour for representing stuff..
