Profile Band - Profile 1 - Profile 2 at Pipe Structures

Scenario:

Storm sewer invert level is drawn as profile on an surface profile view along an alignment created for the storm sewer.

Problem:

Create invert to surface band for profile view displaying tics at structures.

Is this even possible?

You should be able to do this by creating an expression of either the outgoing pipe IL compared to the Rim CL. Or if the base of the chamber is the same as the IL you could use that.

These guy's have also created an add in for this:-

Please advise me if I am understanding correctly:

  1. It is not possible to create an expression to caclulate the [invert level to surface] of the pipe attachments at the structures using the available properties of structures so that they may automatically show in the band at structure insertion stations.
  2. It is possible to show [pipe inverts to surface] at eregular intervals on bands, just not at structure stations.
  3. Devotec has programmed an app that insets the necessary values at the station values in a band, but this is not replicable in Civil 3D without programming against the API.

invert to surface is kind of like cover. Can cover be used instead?

The issue is not that the quantity cannot be calculated, rather that the values need to be displayed as near to the structures as possible.

I created expressions and then a pipe network label. It took me longer than I expected but I am happy with the result. Thank you for all the advice.
