I recently installed Civil 3D and assumed my printer and plotter were installed properly but, when I attempted to plot, I get an error saying the driver cannot be found. How do I fix and install?

Thanks,

Hi @bnagel,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Which version of AutoCAD Civil 3D are you running? Are you on the latest service pack? What is the exact message that is being displayed?

I'm using 2016, assuming I have the latest sevice pack.

My warning is

"This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the divice cannot be found, or the driver has a problem, The None plot device has been substituted"

I know my plotter, an HP 4520 is installed and working because I can plot PDF's from this computer with no problem.

I just reinstalled the drivers from the HP web site and it still doesn"t work.

I access the plotter through our network.

Bobby,

Have you tried the Universal Print Driver from HP?
